We are Pet Friendly

Are you currently looking for a rental that allows pets? Well, look no further; Miller Family Properties' Townhomes are pet friendly! Looking for a new home can be difficult, especially with your furry, scaly, or feathered friends. We are here to make your move less stressful.

Pet Restrictions

We do have a few restrictions when it comes to renting with pets. Miller Family Properties only allows a maximum of two pets. The weight restrictions on pets are a maximum of 50 pounds. We also have a few breeds of dogs that are not allowed. The breeds that we do not allow are Pit bulls, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds. We also ask to have your rabies vaccination shot record on file.

Renter's Insurance

All of our tenants at Miller Family Properties are required to have renter’s insurance. Renter’s insurance is not only to protect our assets but also to protect our tenants from unexpected out-of-pocket finances. When purchasing renter’s insurance, make sure that your policy cover’s your pet. If it does not, you can get renters insurance coverage. Your insurance will protect you from dog bites from anyone who does not reside at your home. Dog bites are one of the most common bodily injuries labiality. The insurance will also protect any damage done to your apartment’s structure, but not your personal belongings. When looking at renter’s insurance, make sure to read all the details about pets before you pick a policy.

Additional Pet Fees

When you have a pet, we understand that there is going to be the usual wear and tear over the length of the lease. In order to rent with us with pets, we have two pet fees. The first one is the non-refundable deposit that we use to clean after your lease is ended. This is a flat $500 that is due before you move into the Townhome. The second fee would be the monthly pet rent. An additional $25 per month per pet is added to your rent amount.

Have a Well-Behaved Pet

If you want to make a good impression on your landlord and neighbors, make sure your pet is well-behaved. Make sure that your pet is comfortable or trained to be left alone in the Townhome, either caged or kenneled. If you have a dog that is barking all day and night, do not expect a warm hello from your neighbors when you see them. Another thing to consider is when you are out walking your dog that you clean up the droppings behind the animal.

We love our pets and want everyone to have a warm place to call home. Having a pet can be the best feeling in the world. In order to have a happy and safe environment, we need to make sure that everyone is safe and is complying with Miller Family Properties rules and regulations.
