Freshen Up your Home for Spring with our 5 Spring Décor Ideas

Warmer weather and longer days mean that spring is finally here! It’s one of our favorite seasons and also the perfect time of year to transition your home’s décor.

Freshen up your home décor with our 5 spring décor ideas:
1. Mason Jar Spring Planters

Materials: Mason jar, paint, paintbrush, soil or marbles/pebbles, artificial or fresh plants/flowers, twine (optional), fairy lights (optional)

Mason jars make the perfect spring planters! Not only are they inexpensive and readily available, but they also come in varying shapes, sizes, and colors, so there are countless options for personalization. Use them as they are or give them a personalized touch with paint, twine, and fairy lights.

Fresh Spring Planters:

Spring is the prime time of the year to get your hands on some beautiful, vibrant plants and flowers. If you’re looking to freshen up your home’s interior, we highly recommend going with fresh planters! Once the paint dries on your jar, throw in some dirt, add in your favorite plants or florals, and carefully arrange them to create the perfect personalized planter.

Year-Round Spring Planters:

Want to create a spring-inspired planter you can easily rearrange and keep all year round? These year-round spring planters are perfect if you’re wanting something simple, yet still beautiful and reflective of the blooming spring season. Use marbles or pebbles and artificial plants to create the perfect accommodating spring planter. With these year-round planters, achieving a beautiful spring aesthetic has never been easier.

Whether you choose fresh or year-round planters, we hope you create something that you’ll love and enjoy this spring season!

2. Farmhouse-Style Signs

Classic meets modern with dainty farmhouse-style signs like this one. Hang them in your family room, place them vertically on your front porch, in your bedrooms, or anywhere else you like! Signs like this give any space a homey feeling that reminds us that there really is no place like home.

3. Dyed Eggs: 2 Ways

Ingredients/Materials: Hard-boiled eggs, Elmer's glue/honey/light corn syrup (for glue), edible glitter, sponge brush

1. These festive glitter eggs are gorgeously decorated and easy to make. All you need are a few items and you're all set! Start by taking a hard-boiled egg, dipping your sponge brush in your glue of choice (we recommend honey or light corn syrup if you're planning on eating the eggs), and brushing the eggs with glue. Then, sprinkle some glitter on top of your eggs or roll them in glitter and you have perfectly decorated glitter eggs. It's that simple!

Ingredients/Materials: Hard-boiled eggs, cool whip or shaving cream, gel food coloring, muffin tin, swirling tool (toothpick, skewer, etc.)

2. Festive dyed eggs are fun, decorative, and easy to make! Start by putting either shaving cream or cool whip into each hole of a muffin tin. Next, add in some drops of gel food coloring to each hole (add in 2-3 colors for a cool tie-dye effect in the finished product). Then, grab a swirling tool and gently mix the colors together in each hole. For higher color contrast, don’t stir the colors too much. After you’re done mixing your colors, place the hard-boiled eggs in each hole and lightly press down. Wait 10-15 minutes and flip the eggs over, waiting another 10-15 minutes. Lastly, rinse off the eggs and set them on a towel to dry.

4. Floral Wreaths

Materials: Grapevine wreath, scissors or wire cutters, faux flowers/greenery, ribbon or string & command hook (for hanging wreath), floral wire (optional)

Floral wreaths make a great statement and are perfect for spring! All you need are a few materials to make your own DIY floral wreath. First, start prepping your faux flowers/greenery by trimming them with scissors or a wire cutter. Make sure you're not cutting them too short, so you’re able to securely place them into the grapevine wreath. Next, place the flowers/greenery into the branches of the grapevine wreath (you may need to use floral wire here to secure certain pieces) and repeat until you’re satisfied with the overall look! To hang up your wreath, attach some ribbon or string to the back of your wreath and hang it up with a command hook.

5. Spring-Themed Table Centerpieces

Bring an air of festive elegance to your home’s ambiance with a spring-themed table centerpiece! There are countless options to create a spring centerpiece that is not only cohesive, but also beautiful and homey. We recommend using a mix of assortments to create the perfect centerpiece: Baskets, bowls, vases, florals, greenery, fresh fruit, candles, fairy lights, and our DIY mason jar planters & dyed eggs to start curating your centerpiece. What will you create?
